Welcome to the Birmingham City University Poker Society website.

The Birmingham City University Poker Society is committed to spreading the awareness of poker within our university and to give students the opportunity to socialise around a fun game of cards.

The 2008/2009 season will see the birth of the BCU Faculty Of Poker – seminars to give education and guidance on the technical aspects of poker and to improve our members’ skills at the felt.

We are also interested in improving the student poker scene by participating in inter-university tournaments both live in the local area and online through the University Poker League.

Our aims are simple.

1: Promote the game of poker 2: Have fun while doing it

We offer novice and more experienced players the chance to participate in a variety of games. You don't have to have played before so all are welcome, whether your a total beginner or a World Series winner! Just come along to Bar 42 on Mondays for our weekly tournaments at 6pm.
